Exclusive Negro Leagues Family Membership

This plan offers membership to families of former Negro Leagues players, as well as Negro Leagues family operated non-profits and for-profit agencies that hold legal or some form of documented ownership to the name, image and intellectual property of a Negro Leagues player. This plan offers the following benefits to this membership class:

● Join a membership of families with similar experiences, aiming to preserve, promote, and authenticate the leagues & legacies.

● Amplify your voice: Tell your stories and share in the stories of your fellow members.

● Gain firsthand access to MLB resources.

● Use your unique skills and experiences to develop and provide services to our target communities.

● Attend and represent NLFA at various events, venues, and platforms.

● Gain access to legal consultation in matters of licensing, contracts, and deal-making.

All applicants in this membership class must provide documentation/proof that your family member or members have either played, coached, managed, umpired, etc. in the National Negro Leagues.

Examples of documentation but not limited to: National Baseball Hall of Fame, Baseball Database, Elias Sports Bureau, Seamheads, Baseball-Reference, Retrosheet, Creditable Baseball Historian, Personal/Creditable documentation from your family collection.

  • First Year Organization / Agency

    Annual Fee: $200
    Annual membership renewal fee:     $100.00

    Offers card-holding membership for up to 4 members.

  • First Year Family

    Initial fee: $150.00
    Annual Renewal: $100.00

    Offers card-holding membership for up to 3 members.

  • First Year Single

    Fee: $75.00
    Annual Renewal: $50.00

    Offers card-holding membership for 1 member.
